Village Farms Grows New Brand

Village Farms, a leading greenhouse grower and marketer, is hoping to reach its target audience more effectively through rebranded websites and product labels.

The Eatontown, New Jersey-based company recently gave its promotional website a complete overhaul, The Packer reports. Village Farms associates say the new website represents a "fresh approach," and the business has updated its logo and developed a new branding strategy to complete the transition.

Village Farms' new logo also made its way to the company's product labels, which now feature flavor profiles as well. The descriptors give potential buyers more information about the goods.

"The new look and feel of the website expresses our consumer-focused direction using large text that reiterates customer feedback we hear time and again such as 'sweet,' 'quality,' 'trust,' 'juicy', 'fresh,' etc.," Helen Aquino, Village Farms' marketing manager, explained.

Sometimes taking a different approach to labeling and branding can help engage new audiences. For example, Coca-Cola recently rolled out Dr. Pepper TEN, which is a diet drink made with men in mind.
