Olmeca Altos Tequila Sports New Label and Bottle
Olmeca Altos recently announced a new bottle and label for its 100 percent pure agave Tequila. The new easy-pouring bottle features a wooden cap and gold embossing that represent a crafted look to the brand.
The company is planning on extending the product to more U.S. markets over the next year but the new packaging will enter the current markets in September.
The label on the bottle reads Olmeca Altos in several places, in order to avoid confusion for bartenders and consumers.
"Educating bartenders about Tequila has been key to our strategy for Altos as we introduced the brand to key markets over the last couple of years," said Olivier Fages, international vice-president for Olmeca. "Bartenders around the world are hungrier than ever right now for innovation, so with this new packaging, we hope to inspire more bartenders to get into Tequila and learn about the product, its origins and the way it is produced."
Tequila Packaging News Recall
Olmeca Altos wasn't the only Tequila company with a packaging news announcement. Last month, 1800 Tequila issued a recall for its 1.75 liter Silver, Reposado and Coconut products due to possible damage to their bottles during transportation.
The company said glass particles might have infiltrated their bottles, posing a health risk. They did not receive any reported incidents from the recalled bottles.
