One Tequila, Two Tequila, 1.75 Liter, Recall

In the latest recall in packaging news, 1800 Tequila recently issued a voluntary recall for its 1.75 liter Silver, Reposado and Coconut products due to possible damage to their bottles during transportation.

The company believes the percentage of bottles that are affected is low, but the damage could have caused glass particles to get inside the bottles, posing a potential health risk to consumers. As a result, brand owner Agavera Camichines made the decision to issue the recall.

"Our goal is to consistently deliver high-quality tequila in perfect packaging to our consumers. Their health and safety is our first priority," said Angel Abarrategui Diez, a company spokesperson. "We are doing everything possible to resolve this issue quickly."

All other sizes of 1800 Tequila are not affected, including 1800 Tequila Anejo, Select Silver and Ultimate Margarita.

The tequila maker has had no reports of consumer injuries from the recalled products. Consumers, over the age of 21, with the affected products, are encouraged to contact 1800 for a full refund. They will be asked to provide their date of birth, name, address, phone number, email and the 13 digit Lot Code printed on the bottle.
