New Juice Label Aims to Drown Competition

A new label may be enough to save a brand and bring it back to life in the eyes of consumers. In the case of fruit drink J20, it may also be enough to tantalize their taste buds.

With the new label, which was launched to celebrate the company's new drink recipes, Britvic brand J20 hopes to catch consumers' eyes as they browse supermarket shelves, Packaging Digest reports.

Specifically, the new design aims to look contemporary with a bright color scheme and label detailing that reflects the product, such as the juice splash coming off the "0," the website explains. Additionally, the packaging aims to look taller and more sophisticated with its new shape.

"The aim of the redesign was to bring J20's fruit mixology back to life," Simon Pendry, creative director at Blue Marlin London, told the website. "We replaced the previously flat label background with a gradient effect and shading, to create a new depth around the brand marque that increases its impact and embodies J20's multi-dimensional fruit combinations."

Companies have turned to other packaging strategies to "juice up" their products, such as using eco-friendly materials and soliciting consumer feedback.
