Design consultancy Kick teamed up with the chocolatier to help roll out the special packaging. The new label is red, while the various chocolate products come in red, green and silver tins. The Mrs. Fields tins are now available for a limited time at national retailers, such as Target, Walmart and Walgreens.
"People always talk about gifts that keep on giving," Kick executive creative director Stefan Hartung told the news source. "Our tin designs for Mrs. Fields do that — for as little as five dollars. Elegant graphics and simple details like how our tin lids' edges rolled delivered more to consumers, so consumers can deliver more to the people on their gift lists."
Creating special holiday packaging is an effective way to encourage seasonal sales. For example, Moet & Chandon recently created a new champagne label for New Year[']s that enables buyers to customize the bottle with special handwritten messages.
