Kleenex brand owner Kimberly-Clark and Graphic Packaging International have partnered to develop packaging for a new brand of tissues, Packaging Digest reports.
The brand's new Cool Touch Tissue, which releases a cool sensation designed to further soothe sore noses, is now available in retail stores nationwide. GPI used a holographic brushed aluminum pattern tinted with a hint of blue to convey the cooling sensation that makes the new tissues unique.
"Kimberly-Clark wanted a package that would fit well with consumers' home decor while being visually striking at shelf; this package fit the bill perfectly," Steve Pinney, technical sales consultant at Graphic Packaging, told the news source.
Consumers interested in trying the new product can log on to the Kleenex website and sign up for a free sample through May 2012, a promotion designed to help further extend awareness of the Cool Touch Tissues.
Product manufacturers should always be thinking of ways to reflect their goods in the design of their labels and packaging. This will help them better communicate with their intended audiences.
