Brinkman's Gourmet Barbecue Sauce Recalled Due to Missing Ingredients on Packaging

Due to ingredients not listed on its packaging, Ohio-based Brinkman Turkey Farms has announced a recall on Brinkman's Gourmet Barbecue Sauce and is urging consumers to return the product.

The 22-ounce and 40-ounce glass jars and as well as its 160-ounce plastic jugs failed to list soy and milk on the container's food label and are being impacted by the recall. Brinkman's Gourmet Barbecue Sauce was distributed within retail stores and by distribution centers in Ohio. It was supplied directly to consumers residing in Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Iowa.

"People who have allergies to milk and soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products," The Associated Press reported.

At this time, no illnesses have been reported. The barbecue sauce packaging carry the UPC numbers 033244000215, 033244000222 and 033244000208. Any consumers who have the product in their cupboard may return to the store it was purchased at for a full refund.
